    What is RTI/MTSS?

Students who are identified as having academic or behavioral needs through evidence based data and assessments are provided Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to help meet their needs, this is done through the RTI (Response to Intervention) process. Students received support and intervention to help close the achievement gaps. The level of support and intervention is reassessed throughout the year based on student assessment data and teacher input. The goal is to help every student perform on grade level.

    What is Section 504?

    • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 protects the civil rights of individuals with disabilities. Public schools must provide accommodations and services for students with special needs. Students in preschool, elementary, secondary and adult education programs and activities may receive accommodations or services.
    • School districts must make reasonable accommodations to allow students an opportunity to participate in school and school-related activities. Disabled students should receive services that are equal to, and as effective as, other students. It is not the intent of Section 504 to provide program(s) that are fundamentally different from existing opportunities. (Retrieved from 澳门今晚最快开奖现场直播 504 Policy Manual).
